Jackson's Chairs
Because every child deserves a comfortable place to fight!
When Jackson was fighting cancer, he spent countless hours receiving treatment in an infusion chair.
At 16 years old and 6'1", those chairs were not designed with teenagers like Jackson in mind.
His experience inspired us to change that.

About The Jackson Bickler Foundation and our mission
The Jackson Bickler Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children, teenagers, and families facing childhood cancer and disabilities.
We believe that even in the hardest moments, there should be room for joy, comfort, kindness, and hope. Our work at Phoenix Children’s Hospital focuses on making the treatment experience more comfortable for patients and their families. Through initiatives such as Jackson’s Chairs, we are working to provide comfortable infusion chairs, caregiver seating, and thoughtful comfort items and spaces for children and families who spend countless hours receiving treatment. But our mission extends beyond the hospital. We support children and teenagers who are continuing their education while undergoing treatment, helping them pursue their goals even during an incredibly challenging time. We also provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors who demonstrate kindness, compassion, leadership, sportsmanship, and a commitment to making a difference in their communities.
During the holiday season, we bring moments of joy to teenagers and families facing treatment by providing gift cards and thoughtful gifts, giving them the opportunity to choose something they need, want, or simply enjoy during a difficult time of year.
Through every program, our goal is the same: to meet children and families where they are, provide comfort when they need it, create moments of joy when they need a reason to smile, and open doors to opportunities for their future.
Everything we do is inspired by Jackson and the way he lived, with compassion, inclusion, generosity, and a belief that kindness can make a difference.
“There’s no reason to be kind. So be kind for no reason.”
— Jackson Bickler
We carry his legacy forward by creating comfort, spreading kindness, and giving children and families reasons to hope.

Meet Jackson Bickler
Jackson Bickler was an incredibly kind, inclusive, and outgoing teen whose athleticism was matched only by his ability to make everyone feel seen and valued. He made friends everywhere he went, building meaningful connections with people of all ages, even as a young child.
At 15, just after finishing his freshman year of high school, Jackson was diagnosed with Metastatic Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. But Jackson never let his diagnosis define him, and neither did his family and friends. He continued to shine his positivity on the community, attending school in person, spending time with friends, and even assisted in coaching the Corona del Sol Soccer team alongside his closest friends while undergoing treatment at Phoenix Children's Hospital.
The sports community, including ASU, GCU, Phoenix Rising, the Arizona Diamondbacks, and the Milwaukee Brewers all embraced Jackson, offering him unforgettable, inclusive experiences that brought joy and strength during his fight.
Jackson's passions didn't stop at the soccer field. He also had a deep love for the culinary world. Local and world-renowned chefs - including Jeff Kraus (Crepe Bar), Adam Alison (Brightside Burgers), Myke Olsen (Myke's Pizza), Robert Irvine, Bobby Flay, Gordon Ramsay, David Chang, and Beau Macmillan - along with beloved restaurants like Taco Guild, The Salted Knot, Lou Malnati's, and Zuzu at the Valley Ho all welcomed Jackson into their kitchens, giving him once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to cook, learn, and connect.
Throughout his journey, Jackson often spoke about wanting to support teenagers in the clinic at Phoenix Children's Hospital - kids who, like him, were navigating treatment while trying to hold on to the experiences that make life rich and meaningful.
The Jackson Bickler Foundation was created to honor that wish. We are committed to offering similar opportunities and support to children and their families facing the unthinkable. Through inclusive sports clinics, culinary experiences, local adventures, and special moments at Phoenix Children's Hospital, we carry forward Jackson's legacy by spreading kindness, creating joy, and building community, just as he did every day of his life.
"There's no reason to be kind, so be kind for no reason."
